Default New here, Ready for first diesel.

I have gotten bit by the diesel bug. I know i want a dodge cummins. Dont know yet if i want a 12 or 24 valve. I currently have a gas drinking 2nd gen dodge and love the body style, cracked dash and all. i was just wondering what some other fellow members might have as far as pros and cons of a second gen 12 valve and 24 valve? It will be a daily driver, no offroading no towing, but will occasionally stomp the mustang or camaro next to me. thanks in adavnce for your help

12 valve are cheaper to modify and make power with over the 24 valve cause those are ran more by a computer system i am currently buying a 12v stick shift

My vote goes for the 12V as well. Cheaper to maintain long term compared to the 24V.

you can make more power quicker and cheaper with a 12v then over a 24v i mean dont get me wrong but if its going to be your first diesel i would get a 12v there more user friendly so be a good way to start i mean they come with plenty of power i think the 24v has like 40 more hp b ut oh boy you can bump your power up on the 12v quick by just adjusting your fuel plate and turning your pump up but before anything get gauges pyrometer boost and transtemp
