Thinking of buy a 1996 cummins 12v

ya.. or you can buy an apropriate fuel plate and boost elbow for all of $30, adjust the afc and smoke screw (free), and create an asston of power AND some smoke.

there was never an EGR valve on the cummins, the 6.7 has an egr system which probably has some sort of valve in it, but the 12v surely never did

Where do you see anything about an egr?

oh boy. Apparently I'm blind. I even went back trying to find somethign about an egr :doh:

Ya dude 12v's didnt have any trace of pullutant control on them. Thats why they "pollute like freight trains".

that tube that runs from the exhaust manifold to intake manifold over the top of the valve cover thats the egr valve, they came on the CA editions this is what i read before

I would get rid of those parts first thing, nothing good can come from that at all, it's absolutely ridiculous

yeah all you have to do is make to block off plates and then take a golf tee and block off the main vacume line that runs to the egr regulator, i have been studying it

I blocked off the egr in my volkswagen tdi.. in fact, instead of a block plate, I pust a custom made egt probe down in there hehe (since its attached to the exhaust mani right above the turbo)
