The cummins is easier to mod And cheaper to. But hey get what you want. Your are the one that will be driving it. The Fords have better Front end. Hold more weight And are a good solid Pickup. Four of my friend that have dodge Pickups say the Fords are Better pickups. But they Love the 5.9L Cummins. Like some people say the perfict pickup is a Ford with a 5.9L in it.

As i stated before, i've spent 0$ on mods, the exhaust was there when i got it...

So if you're looking for a easy and cheap way to get many hp, get a Cummins...

I have only had bad experience with PSD but i loved my Duramax... but that was before i met my good friend Cummins P-Pump !

The only trouble i had with my 97 7.3L is the CPS went out. There are some junky Powerstrokes out there. I just got one of the good ones

They All have their problems and they all have their upsides. I would tell you to get a cummins if it were me. I think an inline motor is just tougher and a lot more simpler. Anything you buy is gonna require some cash to get the HP you desire. Start off slow and build it right whatever you get. Dont just throw a bunch of parts at it right off the bat. Remember owning a diesel is an addiction and once you start adding its hard to find a line to stop at so keep your pocket book in mind when your buying. Dont blow your whole wad. Save some for exhaust and intake!

if you buy a 24valve cummins the first thing i would recommend doing is buy a airdog or fass aux fuel pump. that way you know for sure your injection pump is getting enough fuel. then do the intake exhaust or what ever you want to do they are a little more expensive to make power with but i love my 24valve just some food for thought.

ps they can be found in your price range

I agree. They are know for going out After the air dog.. Do a Powermax3 Chip from TST. Then go with more air and more fuel ( bigger injectors) till you get the HP you want.
