i had wanted a diesel forever, couldn't afford it or what not so i started building my mazda project in my garage at the end of last summer. then during the build i bought my 96 sierra 1500 diesel, and for the most part still love it! (380,000kms on it) i can't wait to get a newer duramax this year and hopefully get my little mazdabenz on the road too. check out my sig, its been a pretty crazy build

Default GAS IS FINE

GAS ENGINES ARE MUCH SIMPLER THAN DIESEL. I NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY CHEVY 350. I BELIEVE IT IS ONE OF THE BEST ENGINES EVER BUILT. DIESEL TRUCKS ARE FINE ALSO. BETTER SOUND AND FUEL ECONOMY.

i just did a plow install on a 2010 dodge hemi, i gotta say im not impressed with it for a 42,000 dollar pick up and the diesel is 51,000-54,000 - - i pulled the head lights out and you could push the tip of the fender down about 1 1/2 inches with one finger - lots of plastic, trim was not attached real well, just a lot of small stuff -beautiful interior and overall a decent looking truck, just very "tin ee" and for that kind of money i would expect a more solid vehicle - and i guess im a fan of the last couple body styles, if i want a truck that looks like a ford - - -ill probably buy a ford ya know??

can't beat an ol 12v i guess...................

Well I dont have a diesel yet. I really have just gotten into them here in the last couple years. My next purchase will probably be a TDI VW and then a diesel truck. oh and when the money comes in for it the 6.4 or 6.7L powerstroke Bronco project.

But like stated by others I still love the sound of a straight piped V8 gasser. My ol 95 Bronco has been through hell and back with close to 200k on the original motor, tranny, and diffs. But she needs some work now. Thats where my next chunk of money will be going, hopefully this summer or sometime soon
