If you don't have much money go look under the hood of the Chevy, Ford and Dodge and decide which one you would rather work on

Most of important thing is to find a good clean truck to start with.

Ya, I was looking at a Ford 95' 7.3 pretty nice truck... Dont know how many miles it has but if it is under 199,999 I think i may look into jumpin on it... I know the 7.3's are the only good ford diesel's... input?

A 95 Ford with a 7.3 were a decent truck. I would just leave the engine at stock power. A 99 7.3 you can get way more power.

yea if your looking for upgrades go for somethimg a little newer, my friend just bought a 04 cummins 3500 with 90,000miles that a older man drove, for 12,000 i would sugest a cummins, then duramax then power stroke

ya you need a cummins... nothin will beat the cheap prices.

Haha... I have seen a lot of people add "gauges"... what do they mean by gauges? cause when i get my 99-02 Cummins I plan on getting a Intake, Exhaust, tuner, and possibly gauges?

gauges are good to have so you know how hard you are pushing your engine. you don't want to burn anything up.
