Default 2006 F350 6.0L vs 2004 Duramax

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading like crazy, but have found issues with bolth I think. If someone can just tell me if I'm on the right path, that would be great.

First, I need the truck because I haul a 10,000lbs trailer a few times a year full of hay, and then besides that I have a farm, and need to move my tractor / Trailer a few times a year.

The two trucks I am looking at are listed in the title. The duramax has 95000 miles and the 6.0l has 104000, so thats almost moot. They bolth seem to be in good shape mechanically. I have the carfax on the chevy and its perfect, oil changes done like clockwork at the dealership, and the only other thing was an electronics inspection. I do not have the carfax yet on the Ford.

Should i ask for a carfax and an oasis on the Ford? If its clean do you think i might be past the trouble point on the Ford with that many miles?

Thanks so much in advance, I'm a little intimidated with getting my first diesel. Everything you read on the internet seems to be worst case all the time.

Denis

I personally wouldn't buy either, if I were gonna buy a Dmax it would be 06 or newer and I wouldn't buy a 6.0 unless it was a STEAL of a deal
