Drive a few more fords and dodges. Fords have the interiors down but that's about it when it comes to the newer models. Every brand has their downfalls. To be is rather replace a trans,or rebuild a front end than pay 10k for a new motor installed and all that jazz maybe less maybe more depenss. What are your plans for the truck

Either will be fun. Personally is go for the dodge aftermarket parts are a lot cheaper and easier to come by used

I loved the look of the truck and still do. Mine had an 8" lift with a 2" body lift and running 40" mudders. It had that agressive " get the F*ck outta my way" look. I bought the truck with that package. I really liked the interior. It was more "Plush" than my current Dodge. I absolutely hated the engine problems. I had it for 1 1/2 years and it was the worst year and a half of my life. I had egr issues numerous times, 4 turbos, electrical fire caused by a severely overcharging alternator that also turned my batteries into footballs (really bulged out), and blown headgaskets. Only mods I had was Volant CAI kit, and cat-back stainless exhaust...no programmer as it was under warranty. It took 5 piggyback rides to the dealer for repairs. The headgasket thing was the last straw. I went Lemon Law with it and Ford bought it back. The Diesel techs gave excuses for failure as " Towing too heavy" (I didnt own anything to tow at the time), "not towing heavy enough", "using the wrong type of diesel" (??), "Over revving the engine causing the alternator to overcharge", and "using the wrong type of Injector cleaner". All diagnosed by different techs at different times for repair. A couple of months later I went to Dodge, bought my current truck, and never looked back. I really would like a Fummins though......

I like my 6.0 but its not everyone's cup of tea. They have heui injectors so don't make power as easily as commonrail trucks do. Ford makes a nice truck and I looks the looks of mine. the ford has the better transmission off the bat and can make 450hp and over 950 ft/lbs tq with just tunes but that is the max. Factor in headstuds for insurance and it gets expensive fast. But they are very strong motors and many of us have 200,000 miles plus and some even have over 300,000.

Damn, thats pretty good. Hell I couldnt even get 20k out of mine before I gave up on it. I really sucks to have such a nice truck, but be afraid to drive it. I really do miss my truck, just not the problems I had with it.
