I would pass, thats a lot of miles for 16 grand. A cummins is a 500K engine, but there is the possibilty of problems arising on that pickup... I think you can find better with lower miles...

Word. Not crazy about the newer models, anyway.
I have found some 05 cummins that were a decent price, but I think I remember someone saying to stay clear of the 05? Do they have known issues for some odd reason?
I'm really still looking for that manual, but its hard to find one that is a quad cab and not a DRW!

it wouldnt so much be the engine i would worry about. but the weight of the truck alone for 265k miles is a lot of stress on truck parts

id definitely be patient for a 6 speed. more fun to drive, and if you tow, its a lot easier to have more control over. and also dodge automatics scare me!

The o5's have radiator and intercooler issues, and the compression ring was moved higher in the piston and was prone to premature failure, at least thats what I understand and have seen... Six speeds are nice untill you having to drive in stop and go traffic, also my Auto LTK has 236000 miles on the originall transmission. My secret and the privious owner secret is maitaince, change tranny fluid at least at 30K and adjust the bands and you will have a very happy tranny..

The 05's have intercooler and radiator problems they can be fixed with aftermarket ones, but also the piston rings the top compression ring was moved higher and are prone to premature failure till 06' that is my understanding of the -05's anyways... Six speeds are nice if your not having to tow intown ... My auto got 236K on the originall tranny, just change the fluid often and adjust the bands when you change fluid and they will last quite awhile and my truck was a tow rig and is a tow rig..

This one hit the market today. Its a manual, so I guess that means 6speed? Dont like all the splatter-art, so hopefully those arent painted on, but I can find out. A little over my budget, but thats pretty low mileage.
