Its an srw. Really? I thought it was one of the best deals I had found so far in this quest. It seems to be in excellent condition as far as interior/exterior. No rust. And the mileage is pretty low for being an 03 diesel. Also a 6speed, so better gas mileage.

not really any advantages to having one unless you tow regularly. they ride a little stiffer due to the slightly extra towing capacity. but our f250 7.3 farm truck tows anything and everything we strap to it. so really wouldnt worry about that.

but for you, i would look around at some decent 00-04 dodges or chevys 00-07 depending on your price range and what you find. believe me there are GREAT deals out there. dont just jump into something

6 speed manual will get you better fuel mileage

I would LOVE to find a 6sp manual. I need a crew cab, which is why I have been looking for cummins 04-06, rather than earlier than that. I know there are great deals out there, but some are just wayyyy out of my traveling range to go look at a truck that im not sure Ill come home with.

to me, to many miles for 15 K would be some where between 200K and 250K, Espicially Since LTK just bought a gorgeous 01, with 114K for 14 grand... Manuels are good transmissions. i think its a fair price?? compared to what sellin out here that truck would go for about 19K here where I live, there only disadvantage from a 1 ton is you cant really haul past 15-18 thousand pounds, but the pros of a 3/4 is smother ride and you can drink you coffe in the mornin... The things to check on a cummins if fuel pressure, valve adjustment, oil leaks, front end suspension.. Listen for injector knocks, If i where you Id find someone with an OBDII and have em go thru with it and check stuff.

Good info on the miles and price...but whats an OBDII?
I figured a 1 ton would be a rougher ride.

1 tons are rougher rides. thats why he said 3/4 ton you can drink and enjoy your coffee in the morning! my buddies 1 ton dually beats you to death... but yea theres lots of trucks out there. just each one you find post and ask questions about it and see if the price is fair. you will find the one guy that needs to sell fast and pounce on him (no homo)

OBD II is a vehicle diagnostic system put in all vehicles sold in the USA starting in 1996, so you can hook a scanner up to them and get diagnostic codes.
