I saw that there was a dodge recall issue that was incomplete on this particular truck. Its a steering linkage problem that is found in some 03-09 trucks. I know that chrysler will inspect and repair for free if it had that issue, right? Is this something to be worried about?

Okay cool didnt think it would be an issue. Ive never had to deal with a recall. Now, the carfax, they don't offer it for free directly from their website. Wonder if Ill have to pay for it myself or if they can hook me up with it before I go down there?

Before I go down, Ive never had to really negotiate much when purchasing vehicles, but Im wanting to give it a whirl on this one. Anybody have any tips on negotiating and what to bring up when doing so? Thanks guys!

Well what's asking price again? Say their asking 18 and its worth 16. Don't let them see your interested in it or theyll stick it to you. Test drive it first and look it over with a fine tooth comb. Drive it for a decent amount of time id drove it for at least a half hour and once it warms up id get on it hard to see how the clutch is, I always get on it hard them slam the brakes to see how everything reacts may sound dumb but I do because if im going 65 and have to slam the brakes I don't want them to fail.
