Hmm. Maybe I did not use the online calculator correctly to convert them. Anyways I was looking at 2x2 that i believe it says its 11 guage and is 3.067 pounds per foot. Does this even sound right? Again I am not quite sure on how thick it should be, but once I see the stock in my hands I think I will be able to tell if it is thick enough. Let me know if I am going about this in the wrong direction.

Ok. Just got back from looking at some metal. 1/8 inch is way too thin. I saw some 1/4 inch and it looks like it will work great. It seemed very strong and sturdy. Now I just got to buy some stock and start welding.
