It's really too bad you feel that way. IMO, it was a outstanding turn out. I was also there last year and the attendance was as many and more.

The racing started at a little after 10am and the pulls didn't start till 1. That gave everyone time to watch both events although there was some over lapping. That can't be avoided though or the pullers would be there till 4 in the morning. The monster truck is where it's at because that's where there's room for them to do what they do. That was also the monster truck ride area.

When you say you left, there were still 45 pulling trucks to run, you missed some great pulls ! You have to realize...., it's hot as hell ( people need breaks ), there's a lot to keep track of and organized and there's a lot of people to try to keep happy.

Again, IMO... NADM and crew did a outstanding job as did the A&A and track people. I don't know what events you've been too but, that's one of the biggest in this sport you'll see. I look forward to next year !!

racing didnt start a "little" after ten. i finally got threw tech inspection at 10:15. was called to the staging lanes around 10:50.

we also left around 3. yea turnout was good, but after the dyno went down, figured it was time. like scarecrow said. hard to see the pulls and monstertruck from the stands.

There has to and will be down time, planned and otherwise, food and parts vendors want your attention also.

Moved the Monster truck down to let people back trucks up to the side of the pulling track..shooting for bleachers on that side for next year.

Pulling was on schedule to start at 1:00, until a few electrical issues came up, got them taken care of, and started pulling about 1:45? Ran 2.8s, dressed the track, ran Mods, dressed the track, ran 2.6s, dressed the track, ran SS dressed the track, ran WS, done. Yep it took some time.

Racing would have been on schedule if the RACERS would have got there on time. No lines this year fellas, we took care of that issue, no excuses to be late.
Do you guys want to race or drink til 3:00 am the night before?

The dyno was running welll into the evening as we were finishing up pulling at 7:30?
Yep, all Four things were running at once, race, pull, MT, dyno, plus vendor area. Plan on adding more events and a second day maybe next year.

The days of waiting for one thing to be over to start another are over, the day isn't long enough.

Wayyy too many people came up up to me and were just amazed at the action to change back to the "old" ways.
As far as the stands and not seeing? 300 people in the stands, 3000 tailgating along the tracks, who would you cater to?

We are building this event, it will take time. Problems from 09 were solved this year, more will be solved in 2011. The track added 20 more porta jons and another concession stand after the overwhelming they took last year. Good thing too, from the growth. Rocks were re moved from the track, better grading equipment was brought in, and a year of settling made the pulling track,"deceiving" (pullers words) hehehe!

Thanks to everyone who is making this show as great as it is, we couldn't do it without you.

I also thoght it wasn't worth going. Early afternoon there wasn't anything going on for about 45 minutes. Your right it was hot , but not only for the crew there it was hot for spectators also. It wasn't planned well. I won't be back to another but this is just my opinion, To some it was great to some it was not. To each there own.

Did anybody mention the sled broke twice. We try our best to please all, but it can be difficult to keep the action going and keep everyone happy (participants and spectators included) all while we are working a sixteen hour day. As everyone knows, great events take years of fine-tuning, and we continue to work at it. Constructive criticism is always welcome as well as suggestions. This was only the second year for the event, and it was better than last year, in my opinion. Next year will be even better, and I hope that everyone will come again and give us a chance to prove it.

I don't get here very much, but I was curious to see what other forums had to say. After discovering this thread.I felt...... compelled.

The event was great. Congrats to the NADM for squashing a lot of competition into a single day. I was there @ 8:30 a.m. I came prepared for a long hot day in the sun, with a great group of friends. We all look forward to next year.
I spoke to tons of competitors throughout the day. Pullers and racers. Everyone I talked to was happy.
As far as I'm concerned it was better than last year. Less waiting for food and drink, more facilities, more vendors on vendor row.
As a matter of fact, I understand the major sponser for the event, made many times the sales as they did last year. Sure we saw some down time, that's what the vendors and concessions like.
I personally look forward to next year.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However...........

I will have to respectfully disagree with anyone that wasn't satisfied.
