Default Transmission upgrades

I am looking for some information on upgrading the transmission, the current mods to the truck are 4" TBE, S&b intake and H&S Mini Max. My boss is ready to do more to the truck to increase economy when running empty and make the transmission be able to hold up better when towing his RV's. Can i get some recommendations on torque converters and also what would become the weak point in the transmission after installing a torque converter. I am trying to convince him to dust off some money and just get a built transmission, would this be his best option?

His truck is a 2008 Duramax

a converter and transgo jr would be able to handle quite a bit of power as long as the clutches and bands were in really good shape, but if he plans on getting rough with it then a built trans is more than likely the best route

He doesn't run it hard too often, but he does run the 175hp tune all the time and likes to smoke out the tailgaters. He will tend to run it when pulling his RV if the opportunity arises to do some showing off.

At minimum he should get a good Triple Disc Torque Converter and a Valve Body.

if he likes to tow with that big of a tune and 'show off' then he should spend the cash and build it right now, He will be a lot happier when hes not on the side of the road in limp mode because he was "showing off"
