Default looking at a GMC 3500

Ok im going monday to look at an 04 gmc 3500 4x4 it has 89k on the clock and all the stuff I want on a new truck. Is there any thing I should be looking for? he is asking $19500 was going to offer $17000 if i like it and all is good. Im not sure if has the lb7 or the lly how would i be able to tell the difference. Any advice is greatly appreciated

The 8th digit of the vin # tells the motor. 1 is LB7, 2 is a LLY.

LB7s have injector issues. Im not sure about the LLYs, but im sure on of those guys will chime in.
