Ok gentleman. Newbie here and sure it will be obvious. Need some advice and thanks to all of you before hand and much appreciated.
One very cold morning 14 degrees. Truck just wouldn't, t start. I plugged in the block heater .hour and a half later went out and started right up. Drove to work fine 10 miles .on the way home that evening g the truck died at about 50 miles per hour. I shifted the transmission to neutral and restarted the vehicle. It would go a short distance then repeat the same thing. I made it home. Next day truck started right up .drove to work. Tried to start at quitting time it would not start. Towed truck to garage. 400.00 LATER. New fuel filter set timing on injection pump. They said she was ready. Drove to work next day. Would not start at quitting time. Towed back to garage. Now they say 2000.00 dollars.say it needs new injection pump (1200.00) 600.00 labor and tax. Cant afford all that right now. And im not certain or convinced they are right. I have decided to be patient and see this thru and maybe locate someone close by who really knows these engines. So I am looking for pointers

I am thinking PMD as well most shops say a 6.5 needs a IP due to them wanting to make more$$$ and you would be money ahead to do a relocation of the PMD out of the engine compartment.
