Hello all
hope you can help I just put on an edge juice with attituted on my stock 02 duramax and with in 30 seconds the EGT went to 2200 and stayed there. I have tried it in all settings and even in stock and there is no change.

My guess would be a faulty module. Does it still seem to run ok?? Engine doesn't miss, no white smoke??

 

Could be a bad egt probe..I would call edge, they have pretty decent customer service.

 

That sounds extremely high. My PPE on L3 barely saw over 1350*. If you didn't cut the wires on your probe and resplice them then I'd say you have a bad probe.

 

Check the little bolt together connections where the EGT Probe meets bolts to the wires.. make sure its not grounding out against anything metal. There should be shrink tubing over the connections. If your truck engine temps are good, and the truck is running good. Im with everyone else here, and I think there is an issue with the probe or wiring.
