ok a buddy wants a 4" turbo back for his dmax but will this cause any codes because it has a cat and that will be gone?

Nope.

And also Im sure you already know this but if you dont turbo back on a Dmax means downpipe back.

thanks guys I did not know that the dmax are downpipe back as I know more about the 2nd gen dodges and not much on the dmax.
