If the reluctor wheel has to be changed then it is a major teardown. If that happens the call to the machine shop will not be very nice. Time is money

Dang John I hate to hear that. I would for sure give them a piece of your mind. Do you have to pull it again and send it back or is it something you will do and charge them?

They will be getting it back along with a bill for labor

That is exactly what I would do. It just sucks that you have all that time in it with no results. And a bent up down pipe!

John, If there are different reluctor wheels... there are different CPS's. Could you not just change the CPS to match the wheel thats installed or are they ECM specific?

Jamie - I wish I could just change the sensor. The newer ECM is programmed for the larger tooth count - it won't read the other reluctor. There is also a chance the camshaft timing wheel is also wrong (but I think GM/Isuzu left these the same) Stupid computers. Stupid me for not building it myself (although until 48hrs ago I didn't know there were different reluctor wheels either)

Paul - I now have a nice new downpipe all wrapped in thermo-tec (thanks to Jason)
