I've come to the conclusion that most of the Mecedes guys on the forum are rude. They're like the loner group of Diesel Bombers.

 

" dang... did you swap a school bus motor in that thing? " and also i get the "what chip do you have in there" about 3 times a day. and when i say its a 12v all mechanical they say " all trucks are mechanical arent they?"

 

Just to people who don't know how to tune an engine right!

Actually there is...its pointless. People that stare at a loping truck aren't thinking "thats cool!", they're thinking "somethings wrong with that POS", especially when it smokes.

When I had my dodge, which was a 96 1/2 ton with a 318, just about everyone asked if it was a diesel.

Then with the truck I have now, 85 f250, I had someone ask it it had a 390 in it. I told him "no, it has a 420" He looks at me funny. I say "6.9 diesel"

 

He's signed up under several names since we finally sent him packing. He likes us so much that he just can't bring himself to leave us. He just can't figure out that we've dealt with hundreds of him through the years. We know how to track them, we know when they're back and it only takes a couple of keystrokes to ban the new name and and delete any posts they have made.

Once in a while we let them stay under a new name just to see if they can change and become a welcomed member, if not we hit the button again. I thought I'd give him a few posts to see if he could do it, but he couldn't. I decided to leave these posts here just so everybody could see them.

 

while I was talking about building my bronco into a diesel bronco a kid riding with me asked if it had a diesel now when we were in it.

I also hate when someone asks me if my bronco is a blazer.

 

i get the "hat chip do you have?" and "Do you have a chip on it?" all the time..

one guy asked me "Do you run it all the time with a smoke tune?" (not that it smokes much) but i simply replied YES!

i was just about to write another stupid question i got asked but i forgot it :P

Well got another one today. While out with my brother getting his truck dyno'd we were "tweaking" his truck after his first pull (aka fixing a broken valet switch) we got asked why his truck smokes like it does. This guy swore we fried the rings!!! I advised him to read the back window, which has a huge diesel sticker in it. I dont get why people cant read!!
