i have a home made exhaust on my truck that is 6" and people ask if its stock

 

I get asked what chip I have in my truck. (12v)

I just tell them its snap on stacked with craftsman.

 

points at my Dmax... "that thing got one of those "Comings" Diesels in it??????"

me- "well to tell you the truth im not sure if its coming or going??"

looks at me like im retarted.....

 

And theres no reason to not do it either.... thats your opinion. I personally kinda like the sound of a V8 diesel with a little lope.

I might think that your little mercedes diesel sounds really, really dumb compared to my Cummins, but I'm not about to call you out on something like that. That would be considered rude

 

I have had people look at my truck from the front, while it's running, and not only ask if it's a diesel, then when I reply it is, they ask if it's a 24v, my licesne plate reads "24VLVE"

 

The most common one people ask is why it's so loud (while it's idling)

Then some guy asked what I had done to my truck, and after I told him everything he said I should have just straight-piped the stock exhaust because diesels need back pressure.

 

My brother and i got asked at the race track, if his truck had a turbo. When he has a big sticker in the back window that say CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL

 

the two most common ones i get are how much of a lift do you have on there
all i have is a leveling kit

and will it roast the tires
tell them it wont do it as i drive off saying its to the floor pushing 1200 rpms
