gauge lights too bright

yeah you can hook up a resisitor to the power souce for the gauges. use a 330 ohm resistor and stick i in the power wire for the lights

hook ur gauge lights up to the wire for ur dash lights so u can dim them to where u like them

so, how did this work? i'm heading to radio shack not to get some resisotors and try it out. i can't stand bright gauges at night!!! dimmed the whole way OFF, mine are still to dam bright.

I got the autometer dimmer. worked awesome. the resistors were going to get to hot so i decided to go with the dimmer module

Most of the newer style gauges do not have user replaceable lighting, be it Isspro or autometer.

You can add a seperate dimmer behind the dash somewhere that you can adjust so it matchs the factory lighting.

resistors are cheap and easy as well, but hard to get just the right setting, and then there not adjustable.

Isspro Performax can be set to match the factory lighting by using the MODE button. EV-2 match the dash pretty close.
