well didnt think that far...i have been runnin kerosene all winter and offroad diesel since october last year since it is available at the pump and no one has said anything...and no one knew i was runnin it until i told them about the ticket

Yup, your kinda lucky.... Here in WI the DOT can "assume" you've been running it for as long as you have owned the truck and charged you X$ per mile on the truck on top of the 10K fine. They don't like it when you do it around here and have dipped diesel trucks religiously at any type of large auctions and if you are pulled over by the State Patrol. The reason I don't do it because I can't afford it.... Even running staight kero up here is a bad idea since its a non road taxed fuel as well, they even started to crack down on home brew bio fuel operations for that reason. Sucks man, but you musta had an idea this was a bad idea....

I been dipped twice at cattle auctions. They were hittin all the trucks they could in the parking lots while we were inside. The ones they couldn't check for whatever reason, they had a list of license plate numbers stoppin ya as soon as you pulled out onto the roadway.

Yeah but the thing that makes me the most upset is that when he stopped he said the main reason they were doing it here was because the DOT needed more money and guys like us were the best way to get it.

$18000 holy crap you could have bought another truck.i didnt know they were that steep,i thought about off road diesel once or twice but not now.

That really SUCKS !!! $18,000 Do ya think there's any chance getting it reduced ? I'd definately be checking with a Lawyer .
