Your still spose to pay a tax on it and until you do you are in violation. We even pay a tax on our fuel treatments.

ok so here's a question.... lets say your an oil field worker and you are in the middle of nowhere driving you truck, or you own a farm driving your truck never on paved highways and only for work.... and you use red dye, and then you go to a pump and fill with normal diesel to drive across town... the dye is in there, but you have a full tank of normal... are you still fawked?

and isnt there a way to filter out the dye? run multiple filters under the truck let it go through all of them....

I know around here if you ahve a farm plate and you run red dye your ok. I worked for a farmer for the summer a few years back and thats what we did. as long as we were with in fifty miles of the farm we were ok to run the off road fuel. As long as it was plated with farm tags.
