I don't know why you wouldn't there is no smog on our trucks just the safety. Now if you had a 6.4 you might.

I've heard from alot of peopel that they have not noticed a big difference in sound or power by removing the cat

Cut her out and put a pipe in place when you get to WI. You will still have the cat to put back on if you decide to.
I don't know about Dmax's but my Cummins is Uber louder without the cat.

so if for some reason i got pulled over i couldnt get a ticket for runnin without it

most won't know what to look for. I have heard of people getting muffler tickets...but few and far between...

I'm just trying to save him a ticket... Mine is behind my shed, lasted about a week when I bought the truck. Here in VA they dont care... Out in Commi-fornia... Thats a different story.
