In July 2014, my wife and I celebrated our 17th year of marriage. I understand this may not seem like a big deal to a lot of you. But when you take into account my pickiness, sarcasm (ohhhhh, I definitely can be a real wiseguy every now and then), and occasional ability to put cars and racing in front of almost anything else, many folks -- family included -- had me pegged as the proverbial “guy who would never get married”…or even remain in a long, committed relationship (with anything except such inanimate objects as vehicles).
