I have one of those terrible Chev 6.5 turbodiesels. Finally have all the PMD issues resolved, but would like to know if anybody out there can tell me how to increase the turbo boost pressure? These engines seem laughingly underpowered for a turbocharged unit.

 

Get an upgraded turbo,A holset HX35 will make it spool faster and give you the boost and power you want,thats what i did,hope i helped you a little

 

Thanks much for the info. I had heard there was a resistor that could be put in the turbo wiring that I assume changed the wastegate opening to boost pressure somewhat. I'm leery about too much boost pressure on this engine. Guess I should have gone with a cummins and saved myself a lot of problems!!

 

Ya you can put a resistor on the maf sensor to get more boost with out throwing a code
