Seriously??? Dont make me rickroll you...

All powerstrokes from 94.5 to 2000 have Forged rods which are stronger then the Powdered Metal Rods that came in the 2001-2003 7.3's... However that does not come into play until you get well above 350hp.

Honestly I would look at a 94.5-97 truck if your looking for a good reliable Diesel Ford. Yes they are computer controled, but they are VERY easy to work on and EXTREAMLY reliable.

Hey Members/Moderators,

Let me see if read this info corrrectly:
Ford 7.3 Diesel Trucks 1993 or earler reliable, easy to fix, maintain and buy parts.
Ford Power Stroke 1994.5 to 1997, trouble free, easy to work on, still emission free, computer controled.

So if I want purchase a 250/350 Crew Cab, with 8ft bed, power locks, windows, seats, etc. Which of the set year are better?

I seen new Ford trucks, but the one's from 1993 and before are hard,to find (looked on trucktrader, craigs list, and ebay). Most are hundreds of miles away or out of state.

Yesterday I almost bought a 1993 250 XLT with 220,000 miles. But it had a oil leak and the owner never bleeeded the water from the fuel filter and also never changed the filter. Finally he only spoke Spanish. Thanks Paul
