Default Billet Grille Question

I was thinking about getting a billet grille for my truck but someone once told me that billet grilles are not good to put on diesel trucks if youre hauling becuse it doesnt let in enough air and will cause the tranny to not be able to cool as well (or something along those lines). Is this true?
I will be getting my gooseneck hitch put in my truck within the next few weeks, and I'll be hauling horse trailers sometimes but mostly my truck is a daily driver/toy
What have your experiences been with those grilles?

i have one in my 03 7.3 and never once had an overheating issue, and i have pulled close to if not over 20k with it so you are just fine getting a billet one
