mad NO START HELP 7.3

I have a 2000 excursion 7.3 came to my shop originally with the problem of only starting off of ether, well i replaced thehuge relay with 4 wires on top of the motor anddd no start at all even with ether so i put the old relay back on and same thing i unplugged the icp still nothing i have a solus scanner no codes buzz test is good on the injectors and i replaced the fuel pump, also dropped the tank and screen was fine/ blew air threw all lines. i also replaced the box on top of the motor that looks like a small computer. i checked the hpop oil is fine and oil level in pan is fine, all fuses/relays have been checked about a hundred times. fuel shut off switch was reset....the batteries are fine and battery charger has been assisting, engine almost starts but it dont. note i know its not good but it will start on ether and run on ether but die as soon as im done spraying....i have tried to check for air leaks but nothing. any input would help thanks, kurtis

Dose it smoke when cranking?
Have u checked gp's?
First it would have been gpr or gpm.
Then gp's.
But with no start on ether is weird, unless from doing the ether is messed it up but I highly dought.

Need a scan tool that can read ICP and DC%...

yes it is smoking when turning over, it makes no since it is getting everything it needs to start. what is gp, gpm and gpr i know it sounds dumb but im not to sure thanks

gpr- glow plug relay. gpm- glow plug module. gp- glow plugs. i doubt that has anything to do with the no start.

1. Trace the wiring harness, as I had a similar problem and found several wires that frayed to the point that they couldn't pass through enough energy to fully power the injection pressure regulator.

2. Check the camshaft position sensor (does your tach work when you crank...if so, that could be it)

3. Was it the glow plug relay you replaced, or the one in front?

all excursions have the GPM, not the GPR.

if it smokes while turning over and it is cool ambient temp, glow plugs are most likely not functioning
