Greetings All,

Wish my first post was better but I'm in need of help... Yesterday a.m. while heading to work, My truck died... Still have electrical power, but the engine just up and quit. Talked with a friend and he said it may be the bowl heater. Told me to disconnect and check the fuse. Well, went thru all the fuses under the dash and came up empty and am at a loss where to look next? Just put 350 miles on it this weekend and no problems...was a great way to start out a Monday... What else do I want to look at? I pulled and checked all of the fuses and all were fine...

Any help would be appreciated!

Simple things first... batteries, fuel, oil both in the crankcase and HPOP reservoir... Then go from there...

 

Turns out this is the culprit... Can someone explain what this does and where it's located? I'm kinda learning as I go as thisis my first diesel truck... Thanks in advance!

Hah just what happened to my truck today started running rough and then died will not restart oil in crankcase is fresh lessthan 200 miles on it but looks very black not like it usually does was also missing a bit on startup for the passed week or so what have you figured out with yours so far?

 

Mine died as I was driving down the road... Usually ran rough at first then lined out...My oil was just over 3000 miles...Just gettin ready to change it. Put 350 miles on it hunting this last weekend and never a problem. The code that came up pointed to the ICP sensor so we'll see.
