im about to put a 4 inch lift on my truck but they are going to charge me 300 to install it i was wondering how hard it would be to install it i have some mechanical skill and im guessing its a two man job any advice would be helpful thanks

 

What sort of lift? Front springs and rear blocks? Drop pitman or other components?

It's not difficult with the right tools, could be a real PITA without.

 

leafs in the front blocks in the back probably rough country or skyjacker

i think pit drop not realy sure on that its just the standard 4" lift for my truck

 

4" lift will have a drop pitman arm, the entire lift is not hard to install if you have the right tools, 4-6 hours at most.

 

what would i need? i got jack stands jacks air tools impact gun ratchets wrenches grease and beer

 

antiseize- the black kind. use on the bolts that go thru the spring bushings. and probably a pitman arm puller. all the bolts are most likely metric sizes so make sure you have those...

 

What he said... Long jack stands because you will need to hold the frame up as high as the new lift springs.

I installed one on a job site years ago.

 

Basic hand tools, big jack (two can be helpful), big jack stands, puller if you're going to replace the pitman arm. I'd have a come-along available to help move your axle around if it shifts on you during the spring install. Replacing the springs entirely is easy, blocks as well. If you're going to use AAL or "mini-spring" packs then a couple of large clamps is needed to compress the springs.

 

It goes much easier if you're on concrete. Other than that you should be good.
