Default 01 f350 7.3L ZF6 4X4 SD gears

Hi, I'm wondering what axels are on it? Sterling 10.5" rear and D50 or D60 front" Either way what are the aftermarket ratios available? It has 4.10 now and 3.55 would be perfect. How would the speedo be recalibrated? Thanks Artie

i thought all the SD's had a sterling 10.5 rear? then 250's have a D50 front and the 350's have the D60 front.

That's the way I understood it, won't know until the truck gets delivered, I did run the vin, I knew the guy and he told me 10.50 Sterling rear, he has been working at Ford's part counter for 6 months, kinda new, had a hard time on the front axel, I almost think he got frustereted and just said Dana 50, I don't think he would have known until I told him, "either a D50 or D60" hr figured 50/50 change, won't know for a while what my front is. Just wondering if the 60 is a high pinionreverse gear, I believe the 50 is a low pinion? FORD who knows....

Both the d50 and d60 fronts are high pinion. The R&P and inner shafts are smaller on the d50. Hard to tell just looking at the housing itself.

SRW are sterling 10.5, DRW are D80.
