I will have to have the injectors checked, started it today, about 30 outside not pluged in, it started but died 3 times before it would stay running. its getting harder to start and the womp womps are lasting about a min to min 1/2 once it did start. I will have to call ford and see if they can test the injectors for me.

Where's the plug u unplugged? U prob unplugged the IPR or injection pressure regulator if u unplug the regulator it will die upon removal u cannot run without regulator now the ICPS is right behind alternator top of drivers head if u unplug that it should run with or without bein plugged in make sure u got sensor not reg and report back

checked the level in the HPOP res. looked good 1/2" or less, but it was running today about 5 hours before i checked it.
Whats the HPOP reservoir?

my 01 has done the cold lope idle ever since i got the truck with 61k on it and still does it with 122k on it! i change the oil, fuel filter etc etc so i don't believe its none of these. i had 1 injector go out at 100k and had all 8 tested and that was the only bad one so i doubt is an injector issue either. my gpr works(after replacing it!), and my gp's buzz tested fine but i never had them ohm tested. i think the gp's are my issue and sounds like may be yours too??? let us know how you make out!!!
