I know an aftermarket can run that high. I didnt figure the factory turbo would handle that much air seeing as how the gtp38r is an upgraded version with ball bearings and its rated for 40psi. Im sure somebody else knows.

not sure on the turbo, that was how much the engine could take.

my truck with no upgrades other then a turbo back exhaust, zombie intake, 17* HPOP (i have an E99 which had a 15* HPOP) and a Tony Wildman TS chip is hitting 24 PSI on my autometer gauges. Think its safe to disconnect the waste gate on mine? Getting dyno'd next month to see where I am at HP/TQ wise... I think it maybe worth a shot to see if I can make some more... what do you guys think?

The stock turbo will is good for 25 ish psi. Then its just pushing hot air.

the stock head bolts can handle about 42 psi and still be safe, some have re-torqued the head bolts and went as far as 50, i wouldn't personally test that though, but after about 28 psi the turbo is out of its map range and just pushing hot air, go much past that and you'll snap the shaft
