Unhooking the red tube just does not allow the PCM to open the wastegate. Try it and see how it works. You can shorten the rod, you can also add a washer or two between the turbo housing and the wastegate canister.

I prefer the turbomaster wastegate rod after running about everything on the market for the stock turbo.

Well....unhooking the waste gate was awesome. I could deffinentally feel it in the seat of my pants, and the turbo sounds wayyyyyyyyy better.

No man just DO IT NOW! You don't get any bottom end gains, (atleast on my stock e99), but around 25-2600 hundred you can feel the turbo kick in when the engine would normally defuel (i guess?). It's like vtec kicking in, yo.

you don't get it. i have my chip on stock right now and i have to drive with a really light foot. it's slipping that bad. i'm doing my clutch this weekend. but if you have a functional MAP sensor it should defuel at 22psi.

Well it definentally isn't defueling now! The power really flows at the higher rpms, and it really was lacking in that area before. And Wow, that is pretty rough. But since the new clutch is coming in, You better go for it! You putting back in a stocker or something good?

huh. i'd get a boost guage on it just to see what you're getting. yeah it really sucks. i have leaded footed right footed syndrom it's hard to keep it light. i'm going with a south bend. 1939 DF. we'll see how it holds up. i don't want to smoke what's left of the disc. i still need to get to work. and when you do a clutch on yours and the kit doesn't have a new fly wheel. get the old one re surfaced.
