Default waste gate adjustment

Ok so I've only ever seen 20-21 max with the red wire off the waste gate. And I think it's the waste gate. Which way do I turn the adjustable part in or out for more boost?
Had anyone used the banks or bd ones?
Are they worth it?

Didnt you just install a 38R? The wastegate rod needs to be shortened to hold closed longer. 38R's is very easy to adjust.

I had a turbomaster WG rod which worked great! Easy to adjust and took the computer out of the equation!

If your running a stock turbo still then the easiest way is to stick some washers between the WG canister and the housing.

How much should I cut off? And what's the best thing to use to cut it?

Wooooooooh there buddy. Dont cut anything. Just shorten it. You simply need to loosen the jam nut and shorten it 1-2 turns. Then hook it back up. You dont even need to pull the turbo to do this.

I always just uses a pair of needle nose pliers to push it off and tie a piece of dental floss on it before you try and remove it.

On my edge CS it has a waste gate percentage gauge. It shows it 98.8% all the time and once I start to reach 20 to 23 lbs of boost it starts to open up. I read where you can stick washers in the stock one to tighten it up. Do you think that would close it up or if its closed and that's just what the chip shows?
