ok guys i started a thread awhile ago about my whitish bluesh smoke coming from my truck once warmed up. happens most in accelerating, town driving, and when i let off from highway speeds. smells like oil. runs smooth, good boost numbers. so i figured turbo seals were junk. pulled down pipe off and its dry. no oil dripping. so now im confused. took it to a local diesel shop and he ran some tests and doesnt know for sure. said he could replace the center section of the turbo..not sure what he meant by that exactly..and maybe that will fix the smoke issues. i need some help with this not sure what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I honestly did not see this thread... I'll look at it this morning after my meetings...

 

well i just went ahead and rebuilt the turbo. fixed my white smoke problem and it boosts up to 30psi and makes a kind of a chirping nose i guess you could say when shifting and letting off when i really have my foot in it. ive heard this nose from a 6.0 before but not from a 7.3. why does it do that?
