Ok so things didn't go exactly as I had planned but I wound up with an Edge Evolution CS for the right price. Got it installed tonight. Here's the question.....I put it on Level 1 and even when I hammer on it I max out at 6 lbs of boost. Is that normal? Seems really low to me, but maybe I'm wrong. I haven't put it on level 2 or 3 because I'm scared of burning up the truck since I haven't purchased the EGT probe yet. Anyway let me know what you guys think on the boost issue. Early 1999 Ford Powerstroke 7.3 I have an AFE Stage 2 Intake and 4" Exhaust installed.

 

That's way too low mines low at 17 wot. U either have a up-pipe leak, or boost leak. And with it that low egts are gunna be high so be careful.
But to check for an up-pipe leak look around from top and bottom the truck between he fire wall and on he pipes for soot.
For the boost get some load on the engine And spray soapy water on the ic boots.
Or make something to go on the turbo to pressurize he system look at a thread it's "boost seems low to me" I believe.

 

Yep, 6psi is super low. A stock truck will produce high teens...

 

Do you like the edge now?

 

I like the Edge, but it is all I know. I had planned to get a TS Style chip. One day I was poking around on Ebay and this guy listed an Edge CS in the wrong catergory. So I watched it. Wound up only paying $88 dollars for the unit. WHAT A STEAL RIGHT? Well when I recieved it, it was locked to another vehicle. After begging pleading and Lyeing to Edge they reset it for free. Normally $99. By then the ebay seller had already refunded me $30 for it being locked up. So ya I have $68 into this thing including shipping. Anyway ya I like it. I haven't got the EGT probe yet so haven't really been rodding on it.
