Default stock transmission

i have the 99 super duty, i believe i have the 4R100 in my truck, how can i be certain for sure?? from the research ive done it was ither that or the six speed manual, this accurate????

Yep. SD's came with the 4R100...

That or the ZF6

thats what i thought, i was bout ready ta buy tranny fluids since my trans getting rebuilt and they asked what trans and cause it called for different fluids,

semi related topic. i know a guy that just bought a 2000 ford. it does have that gracious POS V10 in it. but it has a 5 speed in it. is that factory? i might win 10 bucks if it's not. LOL

manual. same pattern as the zf6.

Thats weird... I drove a V-10 for PKS and it had a 6 speed...

well that's what i thought. it should have th zf6 right? since it's a superduty.

I don't think so... IIRC, they had 5 speeds in the early 99 trucks and then swapped to 6 speeds in the late model. But I've been wrong before...

i think you could get either but the 6sp was more popular.
