ok so the lope idle is noting more than me wanting to pull my truck into a parking lot turn a **** and have my truck lope like a big block. it serves no purpose except to blow smoke and sound cool.

in my case for tuning i have a ts 6 position that is as follows
140hp drag
120 hp street
70 hp mild tow
lope idle
high idle
anti theft

in my case i normally only tow light loads so i didnt need a heavy tow so i replaced it with something fun that i could play with every now and then

Nice that sounds cool, on your insight does that have sensors for egt trans and boost?

you have to by the probe for the EGT but yes it does have that. as it stands right now i watch trans boost egt engine oil temp and one other that i flip around to whatever i want (rpm with an alert set at 2500 so i can try to save some fuel)
another cool feature of the insight is that edge just released a turbo timer for it so that is also really handy.

as an fyi you will want to buy a normal boost gauge because if you tune the truck (and im assuming you will) you will throw over boost codes. the easiest way of fixing this is with a boost fooler (sits in line with the map sensor and makes sure it never sees pressure over X lb) the problem is the edge reads boost off of the map so if you do this quick little mod you will need an analog boost gauge

What happens to your fancy gauges if you have an issue with the edge unit?

You have to send it back, which means no gauges.

Not an issue with a analog set up...

Best set up bar none.

Gauges, Pyro, Boost and Trans temp (Fuel pressure if you want)
TS type chip
Autoenginuity software.

No better set up Period.
