white smoke no power
Im looking at a 01 f350 that starts up fine in the cold but blows white smoke at idle. If you try to rev it up it cuts out bad and pours white smoke it smells like a mist of diesel. Truck has 150k on it and was owned by the railroad. Has a lot of blowby when cold but is started great at 25 this morning. He pulled the air intake and the turbo spins fine but if you block the blowby vent it builds pressure fast.
Sounds like a cracked injector cup, broken nozzle or a cracked piston... Take the oil fill cap off, flip it over and set it on top of the filler neck. It will vibrate off, but it should not blow off.
If it blows off, more or less needs a motor.

sounds like injectors or something that has to deal with fuel. white smoke ussaly means two things one your motor is burnning oil i doubt it on yours, but i think your not geting enuf fuel but it seems serious get it looked at
Not exactly. Burning oil usually is seen by blue smoke.
my 97 F250 white smokes when first cranked up but stops when it warms up what could it be but the glow plugs is good
