Default ford cummins conversion?

ive seen alot conversions from a 7.3l to a 24vavle or a 12vavle cummins motor. i love my 7.3 but when my motor goes i was wondering how hard it would be to swap the motor out with a cummins. i was just wondering how hard it would be to do and how well do they work? ive read online and people say it works well i just dont want to drop a lot of money into a motor that wont work well. i will probly have someone put it in for me but how hard would it be to swap em? its just a thought. i know id have to buy conversion plates and kits but id just like to have a different truck than everyone else

My buddys got one in his 05 when he blew the 6 liter. Not worth it imo. The trans controller and the adapter plates and stuff cost him like 3 grand alone. plus motor. And he rigged alot of things himself. If you do it right be ready to spend around 8k. He spend maybe 6 and like I said he rigged alot. Imo buy another truck if you get to that point

hit up de-stroked they have a list of them on their site, and also check your local emissions to see if it can pass, some states require that the engine must be as new or newer than the vehicle its put in
