Default 04 Excursion Mods

I found a 95 12v complete running very well for very cheap. You wouldnt believe the price if I told you, but I want put it in my 04 v10 Excursion. The 47rh has a heavy duty converter and a stage 1 rebuild whatever that means. Lol Why couldnt I use the cummins trans? The motor has 260,000 and completely stock. Oh and 4x4!

Well this thread isn't as dead as I thought it'd be.
I'm doing some research before I start buying stuff for my build but I'm thinking like an 02-07 (pre EGR) 5.9 24v with an Allison behind it in my 94 F250 Pre-Stroked 7.3 IDIT. I already know its gonna cost money, I can get money, that's not so much the issue. Paying someone for parts isn't the problem, paying someone to do what I can do is different. I'm expecting 10k as far as total expenses. I like the OBS trucks, I like the Cummins and I like the Allison. Everything I've read, its the best 3 things, so why not combine them.
I've found wrecked cummins trucks in the years I'm looking at, flooded or rolled for around 300 or so, I'm planning a complete rebuild, balanced and blueprinted. Centerline honed, torque plate honed whole 9. A rebuild Allison from the factory isn't horrible either.
One of my current worries is electrical. Adapting the 2002-07 wiring harness and ECM to the OBS Ford. I'd also like to be able to set up for high idle if needed in the winter to warm the truck.
My brother is a mechanic and I'm a machinist, we can figure it out, but if anyone has any tips (aside from buying a new truck) I'm listening.
Thanks!

Been reading. Probably not an Allison.
