Default Why is my turbo so loud ?

I took the "Y" off the top of the engine left the fan and exhuast on and intacted disconnected vaccum lines and electric connections, intercooler tubes removed, before you could hear the turbo slightly until you put your foot into the throttle. know you can hear it quit a bit on normal acceleration and when you put your foot into it holy crap sounds like a semi. don't see any thing unpluged. does anyone know what this is all about?

double checked and all three vac hoses are connected and both electric plugs are on also air heater is hooked up. I'm pretty sure this was all there was can see anything else. the pain in the butt part is that its only loud when your driving at an idle in neutral it sounds normal. ? how does the turbo acuator work does it pull vaccum on the pod to move the lever or does it push air into the pod ? the rod is topped out into the canister and would have to be pushed out to make any movement on the wastegate

Found the problem I messed up when I put the clamps back on the orange boots that lead to the intake manifold got the wire harness looped into the clamp caused a leak. do not over tighten these clamps saw on another site with the exact same problem and they said overtightening was their problem.

thats exactly what i was gonna suggest you check; charge piping. Always look there first. Once a boot comes off, its a motherf*cker keeping it on.

You can crimp the intake manifolds, they are just cheap tin metal.
