UHHH, there is a good reason why the one is higher and more desirable. 409 has low chromium and nickle content, instead its a high ferous grade of stainless, IE it has alot of iron in it. It will attract a magnet and it will certainly rust, mine rusted out in 2 years. the 304 system is higher in chromium and nickle and will just golden with time, 316 would be the best available as it would just get a surface oxidation and basically last forever. When installing any stainless system you should throw any steel clamps out and buy the better stainless band clamps like big rigs use so the system doesn't rust at the dissimilar metal junction of steel vs. stainless, as the iron oxide forms and spreads over the clamp it will infect the stainless and begin to break it down.

It's going to depend on the amount of salt your truck is exposed to. We have a lot of guys down here with aluminzed exhaust and get many years without any issues.

The only difference in those kits is the metal. All MBRP stainless exhaust should come with a 5" tip.

Let me know if you would like some pricing.

Thanks,
Kenny
