anyone correct me if i'm wrong but for fleetguard oil filters, I thought 7.3 liter standard filters was a LF3630, and for the stratapore version its LF3974, cross references off a Napa gold 1734, I know there's an even bigger application filter, but I thought it was for like heavy equipment, I just typed in off the fleetguard website for LF3774 and got no results for that filter. How did you come about that filter cowboy?

copy that, I think that's just the bigger version of a LF 3974. as long as the threads are the same, and the gasket sealing surface is the same diameter, and you must have some prior info to have had even ordered that filter. But my info is limited as I have no experience with that exact filter, it looks like a whole lotta filter but I would still say go for it. pick-up a NAPA one as a back-up if your still not sure.

If its the one that tapers a bit it will fit. I ran one for 2 or 3 oil changes then just went back to the factory size. It does allow about 1.5 extra qts of oil!

They have one just like it that fits... It hit the oil pan correct? The one that fits necks down about 1/2" about half way down the filter... I ran one for 4-5 oil changes...

I got the wrong one too the first time.
