So what would a 600HP tranny cost? What kinda warranty would it come with? Do I need a tranny shop to put it in for the warranty? How long does it take to get one? Do I need to need to send mine in first?

Thanks Jon.

First off you could have a tranny shop install it for around 300-400 dollars. If ATS was next door, you still should buy else where. Call BTS (Brian's Truck Shop)or JW(John Woods), and talk to them. I called JW last week to see what a 600HP tranny would cost and its $4700 plus shipping. BTS was about 4500. Both are world known 4R100 tranny builders. Both shop stand behind there work. One guy i know had a part fail in his tranny after 2 years, took it to JW (where he bought it) and all he had to pay for was the new tranny fliud. His tranny was inspected completely and a couple other parts were changed out from the main part failing. No questions ask. Plus JW uses a custom 6.0L Powerstroke Torque Convertor and he hasn't had one fail yet! That has to stand for something.

RacerX and SunCoast seems good too. Not sure about RacerX, but SunCoast doesn't do all the little mods inside the tranny to make them hold up to the HP and make them last.

Just my .02

N.Y. to Seattle shipping cost is $185.00

Another forum has a moderator name Diesel Dawg...Over there we have seen $400 shipping just from the Mid West to California!!! Lifes full of coincidences... That Diesel Dawg definately stated he's loyal to 1 transmisson only for life.... Must be a coincidence and popular user name.

.
I know of no Diesel Dawg on another forum, so i dont know who you speak of.

As far as me, i think that my experience with the transmission i have speaks for itself and the 1000s of others who have had the same experience. And why wouldnt i or them be loyal to MY or their transmission builder? If YOU at RACERX can stand behind your transmission the way Brian at BTS does, then good for you, but im still recommending what i use and have experience with.

YOU at RACERX sure like to come into these threads and try and discredit one of the top two transmission builders in the country. Is it because you guys are jealous that they are as successful as they are without having to Sponsor at any of the diesel sites(with the Exception of JW on PSN) and wish that your business could be as successful JUST BY WORD OF MOUTH?

Anyway, to the OP, if JW or BTS doesnt fit your needs, talk to RacerX, as he is a sponsor here. BUt i will tell ya, You WILL NOT be disappointed in a BTS transmission.

Also to the OP, just remember that when you go with BTS, you tell Brian what you have and what you want to do with your truck and he will build your transmission accordingly, and it doesnt cost you any less or any extra. Same price no matter how he builds it, his transmission are pretty much the same across the board, except for little tweaks here and there. And just remember this, you get what you pay for

I know that BTS builds great trannys for fords. I personally know 6 guys that are running BTS trannys and they beat the snot outta them. I know one guy that has over 70 hooks on a sled and 5 years of towing, racing and everyday driving on his tranny and never had a problem.

Nice to meet another Diezel Dawg then.

Actually, we were good enough to supply one of the gentleman with parts he needed you recommended. A professional courtesy extended that we can do. Why can we.... it's food for thought only. No reply or requests for tracking number or signature upon receipt Please.
We'd really have oh boy, WOW and Ta Da then.

With all due respect, We disagree isn't discrediting anyone.
We don't use regional clubs to spread the word or discredit others either. Unfortunately that happens and isn't controllable by the two builders you mentioned. Inaccurate information isn't either. Again with all due respect, 1 thread isn't "come into these threads."

We support several sites instead and ask people to contact us directly with any questions. It's the right thing to do. Without sponsors there will be no site for any enthusiasts............

The video in my signature proudly says what we can do and who we are. It's in post #8. If your running that much fuel and nitrous through your engine you have a very good transmission too!!! If so congratulations, TGIF and

.

Lets get back to trannys and not the he said she said stuff...

RacerX has been building quite a following as of late, as BTS and JW have had for years...

I have a Suncoast tranny and am happy. But I can tell you this, If it breaks... I will be fixing it. There is really no one like BTS or JW that I know of that warranties there trannys the way they do.

RacerX- I dont know how you handle warranty issues, but I would hope you are the same!

Please lets stop the back and forth... Thanks!

I'll be brief. Neither Racer X or Racer X Power has released an official resume yet. That's a disadvantage to several confidentiality agreements...

I'm the regional manger. I'm at liberty to say he was not a do it yourself-er at all when the internet began discovering Racer X. Thank You!
