Full rebuild kit is about 900-1200 depending on where you shop... Plus about 800 in labor...

So do you guys think the the smoke was still a seperate issue or all this connected somehow? Figure I should at least do injector seals. Should I replace the UVC harnesses for good measure?
I would! WOW! and yes the rocker is connected to your problems. You might have lifter issues?
Hard to say maybe CSIPD might have an answer. <--- I am not joking this time! Seriously

Looking at complete rebuild now. The intake valves are shot, took the heads to the shop today also. Buddy is going to sleeve the #8 and either punch out the others, or hone them depending if they are egged or not.

Dont... That motor is nothing more then a rebuilt stocker. Which is fine, but dont pay extra for nothing.

Update: Ended up punching all 8 0.040 over, and the crank 0.010 under, had to shave the heads 0.010 also. Have engine 90% put back together, just waiting for a new front cover to come in to finish.

Looking like total bill will be right around $3200, plus New injectors @ $1800 = $5000 total investment in parts. All labor done by me, with a buddy of mine helping with any questions I had. Hope to have engine in and running by Thursday night. Will let ya guys know how it goes.
