Default F350 7.3 questions

Well I just bought my first diesel and boy do i have a lot of questions.
Im sure the previous owner did his fair share of tinkering with settings. So while im attempting to reverse engineer what he did to better understand why/what he did, Ill be coming back here to post up my findings and my questions.

First ill start by telling you what I know about the Truck i bought 3 days ago...

-218,xxx miles
-Black with grey cloth interior
-AutoHub 4x4
-Built 4r100 trans with triple disc converter, extra-duty clutches, line mod valve, 31 row 6.0 cooler
-35x12.50R18 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires on 18" Diamo 8 karat wheels
-2" leveling kit w/Trailmaster SSV shocks
-Steel cowl hood
-Projector headlights w/clear turn signals
-Carbon Fiber euro taillights
-4" straight exhaust
-Banks Big hoss chip, 6-gun (included but not currently in)
-K&N air intake
-Banks Big head wastegate
-Diesel Innovations Oil rail crossover
-Autometer Triple pillar w/ C2 trans temp, boost, and egt gauges
This is straight from the craigslist listing.

First thing im attempting to figure out is.
The Banks Big hoss chip, 6gun isnt hooked up because he changed the ICP to a 6.0 and trashed the ICP 7.3. Therefore now the 6gun has the wrong connector for the 6.0ICP since it was made for the 7.3 ICP.

Is this a wise or normal thing to do, to swap in an ICP from a 6.0? Should i leave that in? If so how do I adapt the 6gun connector to fit on the 6.0ICP?

thanks
Cory

I have never heard of anyone putting in a 6.0 ICP in a 7.3

IMO go change it back ASAP.

Also I would cell the Banks and get your self a custom tuned chip from some one like Matt at Gearhead Automotive.

You forgot to add that the truck has the Banks stage5 chip in the computer too. I still wonder why the one sensor was unhooked on the back fuel filter?

For those that might read this later and wonder how Rj91jeep knew that... is because he went with me to purchase this truck and has been looking under the hood a lot.

big_stroker- The seller told me that he put the 6.0 ICP in because it gave him 3 more lbs of boost. Thats what he said!?!? So i guess ill start looking for good place to buy a 7.3L ICP.

Another question would be... What would be the long term ramifications from running a 6.0 ICP in a 7.3L? I have to assume that this has been this way for a while.

by changing that he said it gave more boost? I find that hard to believe. But i would start looking for the right part for your truck.... And then you can use your 6 gun. which i had one. but for sure sounds like a nice truck.
