Default thoughts. 2002 7.3 with 100K mi for 12K

I would like to go to a diesel sooner then later, I am killing my 2006 tacoma. I found this, its a 2002 F250 Supercab 7.3 with 100K. Auto, says its been well maintained. Listed for 12500 but im sure i can get 11000.

at 100K miles are there any things that i should just expect to pay for that are gonna need it asap. It's either this or try to hold off till the end of the year, and go with either a 5.9 cummins or a 6.0LPSD

just don't want to end up with something that's gonna give me a head ache

100k on a "modern" diesel is nothing if you can verify it was properly maintained. By modern I mean Cummins, Duramax, or Power Stroke. Honestly, though, Cummins are known for big MPG numbers. If they are not already there, an intake and exhaust upgrade are the BEST investment you will make.
